What Kickstand is

Kickstand is a test simulator for the K53 learner's licence test, for cars (Code 2) and motorbikes (Code 1). It lets you practise the format of the test and shows you where your gaps are. It is not a study guide and does not replace studying the official learner driver manuals. Passing a Kickstand mock test does not guarantee that you will pass the real test. Kickstand is independent and is not affiliated with the Department of Transport.

Prices and what you get

Paying

Payments are processed by PayFast. You pay on PayFast's secure page, and your tries unlock once PayFast confirms the payment, usually within seconds.

Your Kickstand code

There are no accounts. Your tries and results are linked to the Kickstand code that the app gives you. Write it down or take a screenshot: it's how you use your tries on another phone. If you lose it, email us your PayFast payment reference and we'll help.

Refunds

Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

Under 18

If you're under 18, you need your parent's or guardian's permission to buy tries.

The questions

Kickstand's questions, explanations and drawings are our own work. A qualified instructor checks them against the official learner driver manuals, but mistakes can happen and the rules can change. If a question seems wrong or unclear, tap This felt unclear and we'll review it. Please don't copy, sell or republish our questions.

Fair use

Please don't try to get around payments, overload the service, or use bots. We may block access that does.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Kickstand accurate and available, but it's a practice tool. As far as the law allows, we're not responsible for the outcome of your real test, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. South African law applies.
